Cancellation Policy

Barling Mediation appreciates that life happens and sometimes you need to reschedule bookings. As much notice as possible is requested. Cancellations may result in you forfeiting 50% of the booking fee - refer individual appointment cancellation policies.

Pre-Mediation Assessment

If you reschedule your booking at least 24 hours ahead of your appointment, there will be no charge. If you request to reschedule your booking within 24 hours of the appointment, you will be charged 50% of the appointment fee.

If an assessment is not attended without prior notice, the appointment fee will be forfeited.

Payment of Fees

Fees for all services are set out in Barling Mediation’s schedule of fees.

Payment is required before the service is provided. Fees are payable on a per-person basis. Barling Mediation is open to one party paying the full costs associated with the mediation process. This is purely a commercial arrangement and does not change the impartiality of the mediator.

No Guarantee of Outcome

Whilst best efforts will be made, Barling Mediation does not guarantee that the issues in dispute will be resolved. No refunds will be issued if a mediation does not result in an agreement.

Storing Personal Information

Barling Mediation's website is hosted by Wix.com, allowing us to sell services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 15 Minute Phonecall

This phonecall can be rescheduled if needed, but Barling Mediation will only make 3 attempts to contact the client requesting the call.

Mediation booking

If you reschedule your booking 48 hours in advance, there will be no charge. If you reschedule your mediation within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment, you may be charged 50% of the booking fee. If a room booking fee is non-refundable, this may be payable by the rescheduling party. If a mediation is not attended without prior notice, the full mediation fee will be charged. Refunds are not available if a scheduled session ends early for any reason. Cancellation without notice or a valid reason may result in the mediator terminating the process and issuing a s60i Certificate (parenting mediations only) indicating that you have refused to participate.
